The Certificate Course of Practical Musculoskeletal Medicine (CPMM) is aimed at medical practitioners who are interested to provide primary health care to patients with musculoskeletal problems. The program is developed towards provision of a comprehensive, clinical oriented, hand skills based, musculoskeletal management. The essential components of the program include overview of clinical anatomy and biomechanics, focus physical examination, manual skills and comprehensive management planning. Participants will learn solid hand skills on soft tissue physical therapy, manipulations, and injection treatments. This program will be taught in well scheduled workshops over two years. On completion of this program, participants will be able to manage common musculoskeletal problems.
Course Structure
The whole course will consist of eight modules. Certificate of Completion will be issued to students who had completed all the eight modules within two years. Each module consisted of self-directed studies and 12 hours of on-site teaching. On-site teaching is composed of two half-days (6 hours) teaching. Each module is expected to be completed in three month.
